News from the Writing Cave

cave

Greetings from my writing cave! I haven’t written in a while so I thought I would sit down to do a quick blog post to let everyone know how I’m doing and exactly what I have been up to lately. The best way to do this right now is to break it down book by book on what is going on in my world at the moment.

Isle of Skye: I am happy to report that Isle of Skye has been sent off to my new editor! I am so excited that I can finally give this book the badly needed professional attention it desperately deserves. I have to say that all my stress and anxiety has been lifted. I can’t wait to see the polished version of my book and most of all I can’t wait for my readers to read the best version of my story.

Isle of Night: Isle of Night, book two in the Skye trilogy is doing really well. It seems like everyday I am selling a book and nobody is more surprised at this fact than me. As soon as Isle of Skye is done at the editor I will be sending Isle of Night out so it can go through the same professional treatment.

Isle of Dawn: I am currently knee deep in writing book three, Isle of Dawn. I have to be honest this book has already sent me on an emotional roller coaster. I’m not sure if it’s because I am sad that this series is coming to an end or if I’m so intertwined with my character and what she is going through. I think it’s a little bit of both. Isle of Dawn definitely has a more serious tone to the story. I feel like every twist and turn takes me on a ride through different depths of my soul. I cannot wait to get this book done and published though because I simply want to share the conclusion with all my readers and fans.

I hope everyone is having a great week!
