New Book Title & Cover!

Today is an exciting day for me because I can finally announce the title of my book and the cover!

The Celtic Veil has been a story which slowly took root well over a year ago. As any reader of mine knows, I adore any sort of mythology, and I have been firmly planted in the retelling of Greek mythology for years now with my past three series, The Huntress Chronicles, The Cursed Series, and The Village of the Lost. I began to explore Celtic mythology when I wrote Isle of Skye and I always knew I wanted to come back to it in the future.

The story of The Celtic Veil has evolved numerous times over the last several months. My ‘idea’ journal has many crossed out story lines for this new series. I wasn’t quite happy with a few of the details and then it hit me one day on what exactly I wanted to do. From there, the chapter outlines flowed, and I began writing like mad.

Obviously, the title is a giveaway. The story is indeed set in Ireland…but there is a twist. When I started creating this new tale, I knew I wanted to do something I had never done before but always wanted to, and that was a map. I don’t know about anyone else, but I think every good fantasy book should have a map. Luckily, my book cover designer, is just as excited as I am to do this, and we are both rather giddy to create my poorly drawn map into something straight out of my dreams.

We even played some Irish pub music to get into the mood as we discussed this the other night… because we’re geeks.

Once the book is released, I am planning on doing a complete in-depth discussion about a few issues I explore in the book and how deeply personal these issues are to me.

I am so thrilled to share this story with everyone and I cannot wait to get started on the next book in the series. Right now, I believe there will be five books in total, and who knows? Maybe there will be a spin-off!

I haven’t set the release date yet, but I am hoping for the end of June or beginning of July. I will keep you posted!
