The Celtic Embers Release Date

I love it when I am able to announce a release date and this one is quite special to me.

The Celtic Embers will be released and available to download on August 25, 2023!

The third book in The Celtic Veil series was inspired by my love of Tolkien. The Hobbit was one of the first fantasy books I read when I was younger and after reading The Lord of the Rings, I have been a lifelong fan. I am certain Mr. Tolkien would not be as equally impressed with my work as I am with his, but I am perfectly okay with that.

The Celtic Veil series came to me after engaging in a yearly tradition of rewatching The Lord of the Rings trilogy. I had been mulling over writing a series and incorporating Celtic myth for a few years. I was inspired after watching the fellowship form and I knew I wanted to create a story in which my main character would also go on a fantastical adventure to save her new world.

The Celtic Embers might be one of my favorite books I have written thus far. I can’t explain why exactly. Maybe it is because this part of the story had been thought out before I even began writing the first book or because there was just something magical to me personally about what I was creating.

It is an adventure. The story moves quick, but, more importantly, there are seven new characters who I introduce (and maybe a few more…wink) that I completely became enamored with. I cannot wait to do a deep dive into the third book after it releases because I have so much to talk about regarding the story and my mindset as I wrote it.

I also have a bit of exciting news to share as well.

The Celtic Awakening, the fourth and final book has been written and I can reveal the cover!

I have always stated that you should not write another book until your current project is complete and I stand by this, however, I knew my editor was extremely busy, and it might take him months to finish. There was no way I was going to not write for several months and, truth be told, I was on a high after finishing The Celtic Embers. I wanted to continue. There was a need in me to finish this story.

What I didn’t count on was the emotional toll it would have on me and I began to have anxiety about saying goodbye to this series. I had come to love the world I created and the characters, so the fourth and final book, which is my second longest book I have written, was definitely a labor of love. Everything I had went into writing the story and I am not going to lie, it will take me several weeks to gather the courage before I can read it.

The good news is that it will be released in late October/early November, so you will not have to wait long to read the final book.

I hope everyone is having a great start to their summer!
