Captivating Wick Release Date & Info

Life is funny, isn’t it? I’m sitting here and I had to pause for a second because I cannot believe I am already writing out this blog post. I literally just published Enchanting Wick a few weeks ago and now, here I am again, ready to publish another book.

I suppose the only explanation I have is that I absolutely loved creating, and writing, Wick and Gracie’s story. These two characters have enchanted me since I started dreaming up The Hidden Realm Series. I guess, in some ways, my obsession and love for them propelled me to work harder than I ever have before.

Captivating Wick is a story about love and redemption. It is also about discovering the true meaning of loving someone, warts and all. Wick is not a typical storybook character. He’s an anti-hero at best. He is not ashamed of his past, nor does he hesitate to kill anyone who stands in his way or threatens those he cares about. He is somewhat mentally unstable and I did not want to shy away from that element.

The simple fact is, most male characters you read about today are pretty messed up, but Wick doesn’t use that as an excuse. He takes full responsibility for his actions and he wears his insanity proudly on his sleeve ( as noted by Gracie). His past does not dictate his future. He does not use the excuse of being domineering as his way to control his environment, nor does he participate in any showman like sexual deviant games.

He is, down deep, a lost little boy, who craves love and he finds that unconditional love with Gracie.

In Captivating Wick, Gracie has other issues to worry about besides Wick. She has something infinitely more important to focus her attention on and it was interesting to weave a tale of two people navigating this tricky situation.

Yes, there is one huge bombshell revealed at the climax and it is an aspect of the story that I have been working on since day one. I just wasn’t quite sure when I was going to incorporate it in the six book series. I can also tell you that Maximus does indeed make a quick appearance towards the end and I am now itching to write his and Marianna’s tale.

The release date for Captivating Wick is November 17, 2015 and I am pleased as punch to unveil the blurb, and the book trailer.

Book Four of The Hidden Realm Series concludes the epic love story of Gracie and Wick.

Gracie has turned to the only man that can help her after a stunning discovery rocks her world. She knows Wick’s state of mind is precarious, but she has no choice. She must place her faith and trust into the damaged man that she loves with all her heart.

Danger and deception threaten them at every turn. Wick is determined to keep Gracie safe at all costs and he is pushed to the edge of his unstable darkness as their love deepens. A new life emerges, but will it be their salvation or their destruction?

A shocking revelation will be revealed and their lives will never be the same as they continue to fight against the evil interim werewolf king who has vowed to get his revenge on Wick.

Join Wick and Gracie on their journey as they navigate the road to love and redemption!

Enchanting Wick is Released!

Oh, I have waited a long time for this book to be published. I was writing Gracie and Wick’s story when I started The Fairy Door. Don’t misunderstand me. I adore Liliana and Killian. I think their story is one of the sweetest I have ever written, but there’s just something about Wick…

It was exhilarating to develop a character that is the very definition of an anti-hero. His insanity became my joy and I loved writing Gracie. She is the perfect compliment to his personality and I fell in love with their story.

Yes, the sex scenes are a bit more graphic, but I felt they needed to be with these two lovers. I don’t think they are any more scandalous than what is out there now as far as stories go and I stand by with what I wrote.

I hope and pray that my readers will love them as much as I do. I also hope they will forgive me for the slight cliff hanger at the end…

She had pursued her dream of owning her own bridal shop and she was now looking forward to opening another store in the vampire realm. New Release: The Fairyland Queen!

It’s finally here! I know it may not seem like a long time for my readers since I just published The Fairy Door in July, but it has been an exhausting journey for me.

I started this book the second, The Fairy Door, was in my editor’s hands. After about eight chapters though, I ran out of gas. I’m not sure if it was because I have been writing nonstop for the last few years, or if it was because I was suffering from a slight depression that my children were getting older.

I don’t know what it was exactly, but within minutes of my twin boys passing their driver’s license test, I shut down and draped a protective shroud around our home for the summer.

I didn’t want to write for the first time in ages. I just wanted to enjoy my children and I also needed a creative break.

It wasn’t easy firing up the laptop, but I had a deadline to meet and I was given two weeks by my editor.

It was the best thing she could have said to me because I was starting to doubt myself as a writer. I wasn’t sure if I could pick up the proverbial pen again.

If you look at the absence of blog posts over the last few months then you will see that it was in all areas I was suffering from a brain and body collapse.

Once I started typing though, all the insecurities went out of my head and I found myself loving this story once again.

I’m not going to lie, but it was really writing the epilogue which turned into chapter one for Enchanting Wick that propelled me into an excitement that I haven’t felt before.

I love these characters. Liliana is interesting to write because she is such a good person and Killian is her male counterpart in every way. I hope you enjoy continuing on their journey with them and I also hope you are ready for what lies ahead because the next few books are explosive!

The Fairy Door is Released!

I can’t believe it is finally here! I am thrilled to be able to talk about my newest book. I never intended to write this story. I had another series in mind, but then something magical happened. I stumbled across an article about Fairy Doors and all of a sudden the beginnings of a story began swirling inside my brain.

I originally thought of doing a quick two book series, but the more I wrote, the more I realized that there were a few characters whose lives were even more entwined in The Fairy Door and that’s how The Hidden Realm Series was born.

I’m a bit nervous to write a six book series. I know that the format is a slightly unusual, but I’m confident that they will all tie together in the end.

The Cursed Dagger, book three of The Fae Witch Series is LIVE!

I am excited to finally share with everyone my new book and I thought I would give you all a little back story as to how I went about writing it these last few months.

I knew that this book was going to be a lot darker than the first two books in the series. I had prepared myself for it and I was ready to dive right in when I got the news that no one wants to hear.

My father went for a routine colonoscopy and hours later, they diagnosed him with stage four colon and liver cancer.

I think our whole family was shocked and for a few days we couldn’t even speak with one another. I just couldn’t believe it at first. My strong dad who had worked almost everyday of his life was now struck with cancer.

I didn’t want to speak of it and then as I normally do, I lashed out in anger at my husband and mother. I know that they are the only two people that can handle my wrath and not hold it against me for too long so I suppose that’s why I chose them as my targets.

I tend to act first and think later. I have always let my emotions guide me and sometimes that isn’t such a good thing.

Once I let it out however, I was faced with the resolve that, like always, I was to be the strong one and the one to provide lightness and laughter to our current predicament. I was not going to treat my father any different nor was I going to sensor my self or my jokes.

I started writing The Cursed Dagger and it was there I could pour all my anger and frustrations out with my words on my keyboard. It was the best therapy that I could have ever had and I am thankful I have writing as an outlet to purge my soul otherwise I shudder to think what I would do to some poor being who caught me at a bad time.

My best friend told me that when she started reading the rough draft she could feel my anger and sadness in the story. I have to admit that it pleased me greatly that I had conveyed my feelings through my character so well.

Aston and her mental wellbeing is put through the ringer in this book. She has to deal with loss, sadness, and self-doubt. To be honest, writing her character was not easy. I cried more with this book than any other that I had written.

I also was surprised at how well Lucian’s character seems to grow as the story progresses and I think people will be surprised at the depth of his soul in this story. Long story short, Lucian grows up and he is unwavering in his support throughout Aston’s craziness.

I love how characters can evolve right in front of our eyes and I am always astounded when I read what I have written sometimes because there’s this little voice inside of me that shouts ‘I wrote that. I really wrote that.’

Call it my Sally Field moment, but it’s pretty awesome.

I hope that everyone enjoys the story and I happy to announce The Cursed Scepter is almost done and even though I will miss these characters, I am looking forward to the future!
