The Skye Trilogy-remastered version is out now!

There is something extremely satisfying to go back to the beginning of an event which changed your life. I know that I have probably told the story, but I’ll tell it again once more. I always had a secret yearning to be a writer. I grew up reading various genres, but I adored reading romance the most. I used to hide books when I was a teenager, so that my friends wouldn’t think I was a nerd. I had a passion for reading and for several years I used to have two books going at the same time. One would be downstairs and the other upstairs by my bed.

I became wrapped up in the Twilight phenom. It really became more of a joke with a few of my closest friends. I never really connected with Bella. I, personally, found her a bit annoying and woefully naive for the time. It wasn’t until she had a child that I began a slight connection. The entire time I was reading that series, I kept thinking about what I would write for a story. After the final book was released, there came a flood of books on the market and I was still longing for something different.

And so, The Isle of Skye trilogy was born. It was a story I couldn’t get out of my head and I knew I had to write it. I didn’t know how I was going to pull it off, but I did it. The feeling of conquering a lifelong dream is something I never take for granted. I realize I am horribly lucky and privileged to be able to work at this amazing craft full-time.

This process of turning my previous works into boxsets has really been a cathartic experience and I am enjoying every minute of it. The Fae Witch series will be available in a few weeks and I find it just as fun to reread and put together as one whole complete set.

But for now…let’s go back to the beginning.
