The Hidden Realm Series boxsets are now available!
I am so thrilled to announce that The Hidden Realm Series is now officially remastered into boxsets. I decided to put them out as volumes since each character ( Liliana, Gracie, and Marianna) all have their own separate stories which encompass two books a piece. Yes, they are all major characters in each of their stories but this felt more cohesive to release as Volume 1&2, Vol. 3&4, Vol. 5&6…if that makes sense!
It is amazing to tackle this project and when I was going over each book, I remembered why I loved them so much. I actually had no intention of writing The Fairy Door. After I wrote The Fae Witch Series, I was going to start on The Huntress Chronicles. Fate, though, is a funny thing. I just happened to stumble across a brief article about the fairy doors in Michigan and almost instantly a story began to take root in my head.
It became an overnight obsession if truth be told.
It was one of the few instances that when I began writing, I didn’t quite know where the story was going to go or how I was going to end it. I just simply started writing Liliana’s story and about halfway through The Fairy Door was when Gracie and Marianna’s stories emerged. I certainty did not set out to write a six-book series, but I knew that one book for each character was not going to be enough to flesh out their journeys.
It was a challenge, but I absolutely took great delight in writing this series. I know that as a writer you don’t necessarily have favorites, but I have always said that if you were to force me to choose any character or characters and any book, I would have to say Gracie and Wick were probably my favorite characters to write. I just loved creating them and I fell more in love with them as I wrote Enchanting Wick and Captivating Wick.
Liliana and Killian were purer to create and write, but Wick and Gracie were far more complex and what can I say? I love a deranged bad boy. Marianna and Maximus were also equally as fun to write. I love Marianna and I actually chuckled while writing some of her lines. Maximus was the perfect counterpart and their story, I believe, truly wrapped up the series nicely.
I also would be remiss if I didn’t say that Finnieus or Finfin was a complete joy to write as well!
This series also allowed me to escape from numerous things going on in my life and I will be forever grateful that I had these stories as an outlet to get lost into as the realities of life became somewhat overwhelming. These were the stories I needed to write at that time and it always makes me smile when I recall that it was just a two paragraph article which sparked such a feverish desire to create this wonderful world and these amazing characters who I am so fond of now.
I suppose that you never truly know what can be behind one door which might just change your life forever.
